Unlock Your Potential: Transform Young Lives as a SEN Teaching Assistant
Ready to make a real difference? We're looking for passionate, empathetic individuals to join a dynamic and supportive team in Wakefield. This isn't just a job; it's a chance to build a meaningful career and help young people with complex needs thrive.
This Ofsted-rated 'Good' school specializes in supporting students aged 11-19 with a variety of complex needs, including autism, learning disabilities, and speech and communication challenges. You'll be part of a close-knit environment where small class sizes (up to 8 students) mean you can truly focus on each individual. With a dedicated team of experienced teachers and therapists, you'll have all the support you need to succeed.
What You'll Do
As a Teaching Assistant, you'll be the champion for students with special educational needs. You'll:
Provide personalised support to help students reach their full potential.
Assist with care needs and follow individualised plans for positive behaviour management.
Build strong, caring relationships with students, creating a safe and encouraging space for them to learn and grow.
Work alongside teachers and therapists to deliver high-quality, engaging lessons.
Promote independence and personal development, empowering students to build confidence and skills for life.
