Fabric Engineer/Handyman
This is a fantastic opportunity to join one of my Leading FM client's team, delivering high-quality maintenance services within a supportive and professional environment.
Salary and Benefits
- Basic Salary: £32,000 - £36,000 per annum.
- Contract: Permanent, Full-Time (45 hours per week).
- Hours: Monday to Friday, 07:30 - 17:00.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Undertake planned, reactive, and cyclical maintenance work independently or as part of a team.
- Service and repair doors, windows, locks, hinges, and general building fabric.
- Perform general plumbing maintenance, including unblocking sinks/toilets and repairing taps, showers, and flushers.
- Handle the installation of internal fixtures, fittings, and shelving.
- Carry out basic electrical duties, such as lamp changes and minor repairs.
- Conduct operational tests and inspections relating to security, access, and health and safety.
- Ensure all works are recorded accurately and comply with legislative requirements (COSHH, Health & Safety).
- Provide out-of-hours maintenance support on a shared call-out rota.
Qualifications and Experience Required
- Strong Joinery or Fabric skills with a related trade qualification or significant experience in a similar role.
- Proficiency in general plumbing and carpentry (doors, frames, furniture repairs).
- A solid understanding of Health & Safety regulations and safe working practices.
- Reliable, punctual, and hard-working with excellent communication skills.
- A full UK driving license is essential.
