Finance Assistant Required - Immediate Start
We are seeking a Temporary Finance Assistant to join our team in Wirral with an immediate start. This role is a vital part of our administrative and finance function and will run for at least this half term. While we prefer a full-time commitment (5 days a week), we are willing to be flexible for the right candidate and consider a 4-day week.
The Role and Responsibilities:
As our Temporary Finance Assistant, you'll be responsible for a range of essential financial duties, ensuring our accounts are accurate and up-to-date. Your main responsibilities will include:
- Processing all purchase invoices for payment in line with our financial procedures.
- Raising weekly payments to our creditors.
- Posting all bank receipts, direct debits, and direct payments to our finance system.
- Managing and posting sales invoices, and ensuring all outstanding payments are received and processed.
- Balancing and posting all corporate card payments on a monthly basis.
- Reconciling all bank accounts monthly to ensure accuracy.
- Maintaining and reconciling the petty cash on a weekly basis.
About You:
We are looking for a reliable and organised individual with previous finance or accounting experience. You should be proficient with financial software and have a keen eye for detail. Experience with the PS Financials Iris system would be a significant advantage.
- Pay: £13.68 - £14.50 per hour
- Hours: 5 days a week (with potential flexibility for 4 days)
- Duration: At least one half term
