Are you a highly skilled and meticulous finisher with a keen eye for detail? We're looking for an experienced professional to join our team on a thriving new build housing site in Northallerton. This contract role focuses on bringing new homes to perfection through expert snagging and repairs.
The Role:As a finisher on our new build development, you'll be the final touchpoint, ensuring every property meets the highest standards of quality and presentation before it's handed over. Your precision and versatility will be crucial. Key responsibilities include:
- Undertaking comprehensive snagging and remedial works across various trades to an impeccable standard.
- Performing minor joinery tasks, such as adjusting doors, fitting architraves/skirting, and making good any blemishes.
- Carrying out touch-up painting and decorating, ensuring seamless and flawless finishes.
- Completing minor plaster patching and making good on walls and ceilings.
- Addressing any other identified defects or imperfections to achieve a pristine final product.
- Working efficiently and cleanly, managing your own workload to meet handover deadlines.
- Communicating effectively with the site management team regarding progress and any issues.
- Adhering strictly to all site health and safety regulations.
We need someone who is:
- Proven and highly experienced as a Finisher within the new build housing sector.
- Possesses a versatile skill set across multiple trades (joinery, painting, patching, etc.).
- A valid CSCS card is essential for this role.
- Has exceptional attention to detail and a steadfast commitment to delivering a perfect finish.
- Reliable, punctual, and highly motivated.
- Able to work independently and manage their time effectively.
- A strong problem-solver with a "right first time" approach.
- Own tools and transport would be highly beneficial.
