Are you a skilled floor layer seeking a stable, long-term contract with consistent work? We are looking for dedicated professionals to join our team, working on the refurbishment and refitting of local authority housing properties across the Leeds area.
The Role:
You will be responsible for the high-quality installation and finishing of various floor coverings in occupied and void domestic properties.
- Installation: Preparation and fitting of various floor coverings, including but not limited to, Vinyl, LVT, Carpet, and Laminate.
- Preparation: Sub-floor preparation, including screeding, levelling compounds, and ensuring surfaces are clean and ready for laying.
- Accuracy: Taking precise measurements and efficiently cutting materials to minimise waste.
- Customer Service: Maintaining a professional and courteous manner when working in tenant-occupied properties.
- Compliance: Adhering to all health, safety, and quality standards set by the contract and local authority.
The Requirements:
- Proven Experience: Demonstrable experience as a Floor Layer, specifically working with a range of domestic flooring materials.
- NVQ/Relevant Qualification (Desirable, but demonstrated experience is essential).
- Tools & Transport: Must have own high-quality tools and reliable transport to move between sites (essential).
- Work Ethic: Highly reliable, excellent attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines.
- CSCS Card.
- Asbestos awareness.
