Are you an enthusiastic and motivated teacher with a passion for inspiring young minds through Design and Food Technology? We're currently recruiting for a dedicated Design Technology / Food Technology Teacher to join a vibrant and supportive secondary school in Knowsley.
This long-term opportunity is open to teachers at all career stages - from newly qualified teachers to experienced educators. You will be joining a passionate team who place students at the heart of everything they do.
The Role:
- Teach Design Technology and Food Technology up to Key Stage 4 / GCSE level
- An interest or background in Engineering is highly desirable
- Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality lessons tailored to a range of student abilities
- Create a positive, engaging, and inclusive learning environment
- Collaborate effectively with department colleagues and support staff
- Maintain high standards of classroom behaviour in line with school policies
- Monitor and report on student progress
- Attend meetings, parents' evenings, and INSET days as required
Candidate Requirements:
- Relevant undergraduate degree
- UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or working towards QTS
(NQTs and overseas-trained teachers encouraged to apply)
- Proven classroom management and lesson delivery skills
- Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for DT and Food Tech
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing
- Willingness to complete an enhanced DBS and referencing process
