Key Responsibilities:

Provide ongoing supervision, support, and guidance to foster carers

Undertake regular visits, reviews, and assessments to ensure placement stability and child welfare

Deliver training sessions and development opportunities to foster families

Work collaboratively with other professionals in care planning and safeguarding processes

Respond to placement issues, breakdowns, and provide crisis support where necessary

Maintain accurate records and reports in line with statutory requirements

Contribute to panel reports and attend fostering panels when required


Requirements:

Qualified Social Worker (BA, MA, DipSW or equivalent)

Social Work England registration

Previous experience in fostering, LAC (Looked After Children), or permanence teams

Strong understanding of fostering regulations, National Minimum Standards, and statutory guidance

Excellent communication and relationship-building skills

Enhanced DBS check
