Job Title: Social Worker - Cared for Children Team
Location: Middlesbrough
Middlesbrough are seeking experienced and committed Social Workers to join their Cared for Children's teams. These teams work with children and young people currently in our care, supporting them and their families who have a plan to live outside of family care.
Responsibiltiies -
Recruitment and Assessment: You will be responsible for recruiting, assessing, and preparing prospective foster carers and connected carers. This includes completing in-depth Form F assessments and presenting them to the Fostering Panel.
Support and Supervision: You'll provide ongoing supervision and support to our approved foster carers, helping them navigate the challenges and rewards of caring for a child.
Case Management: You'll manage a complex caseload, ensuring all statutory requirements and regulations are met, and that records are maintained to a high standard.
Training and Development: You'll identify the training needs of carers and help them develop their skills to meet the unique needs of the children they care for.
Safeguarding: A key part of the role is to ensure the safety and well-being of all children in our care. You will work closely with other professionals and agencies to ensure effective safeguarding practices are in place.
They are looking for passionate individuals with a minimum of 3 years' experience in social work.
