Oversee the efficient and effective operation of the care leaving service, ensuring timely interventions and appropriate resource allocation.
Implement and monitor performance standards, promoting continuous improvement and positive outcomes for young people.
Manage budgets and resources effectively, ensuring the team operates within allocated parameters.
Represent the team in meetings with internal and external stakeholders, advocating for the needs of care leavers.
Contribute to the development of team policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and guidelines.
Provide regular supervision and support to team members, promoting their professional development and well-being.
Requirements:
Registered with Social Care England.
Minimum 3 years' post-qualification experience as a qualified Social Worker. Significant experience in a supervisory or management role within children's social care, particularly with care leavers, is essential.
Proven leadership and management skills, with experience of leading and motivating a team.
Strong understanding of children's social care legislation, policies, and procedures relating to care leavers.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and decision-making skills.
Commitment to ensuring high-quality services and positive outcomes for young people leaving care.
