Are you a Qualified Teacher in the Penzance area looking for a better work-life balance? We are seeking adaptable and enthusiastic General Cover Teachers to support local schools across Penzance and the surrounding secondary and primary settings. Enjoy teaching without the take-home work!
This role is ideal for teachers who want to focus purely on classroom delivery and student engagement-with zero planning, marking, or lesson preparation required. You simply step into the classroom, lead the lesson using pre-set plans, and finish your day at 3:30 PM.
Responsibilities:- Deliver pre-planned lessons effectively across various subjects and year groups.
- Maintain a positive, productive classroom environment and manage behaviour according to school policies.
- Support student learning, safety, and well-being throughout the day.
- Leave clear, concise feedback notes for the regular class teacher before leaving.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
- Excellent classroom management and the ability to adapt quickly to different school environments.
- Ability to travel to schools in and around Penzance.
- DBS: An enhanced DBS on the Update Service is highly desirable. If you do not currently have one on the Update Service, you must be willing to complete a new check through us.
- Competitive Daily Rate: £130 - £160 per day (based on experience).
- True Work-Life Balance: Finish at 3:30 PM with zero evening marking or weekend prep.
- Local Impact: Support secondary and primary schools across the Penzance community.
