About the Role
We are seeking a flexible, enthusiastic, and resilient General Cover Teacher to join a thriving and inclusive secondary school in Leeds. Starting in September 2025, this full-time position involves delivering pre-planned lessons across a variety of subjects and year groups (KS3 and KS4), ensuring continuity of learning in the absence of the usual class teacher.

Essential Requirements
... - QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
- Experience working with students aged 11-16.
- An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver pre-set lessons across multiple subjects and year groups.
- Maintain a positive and focused classroom environment.
- Follow school policies on behaviour management and safeguarding.
- Support student engagement and learning throughout the lesson.
- Implement differentiation strategies as appropriate.
- Ensure all students feel safe, valued, and included.
- Address any disruptive behaviour effectively and fairly.
- Work closely with Heads of Department and SLT when needed.
- Promote a positive attitude towards learning.
- Report concerns regarding student welfare or behaviour.
