About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and resilient General Cover Teacher to join our team at a thriving secondary school in Leeds. This is a full-time, long-term opportunity starting this September, providing you with a chance to become an integral part of our vibrant school community. You will play a vital role in ensuring a consistent and high-quality learning experience for our students during the short-term absence of their usual teachers.

Requirements:
... - Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
- A current Enhanced DBS on the update service (or a willingness to apply for one).
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
- A passion for education and student development.

Responsibilities:
- Deliver pre-prepared lessons across a range of subjects and year groups.
- Ensure students are on task and engaged with the work provided.
- Implement the school's behaviour management policy consistently and fairly.
- Manage the classroom to create a constructive and safe learning environment.
- Respond to student questions about process and procedures.
- Record and report on student attendance and behaviour.
- Provide feedback to the class teacher or department head as needed.
- Supervise students during non-class periods, such as break times or lunchtime duties.
- Attend staff and departmental meetings as required.
- Adhere to all school policies, including safeguarding and health and safety.
