What the role involves:
- Delivering engaging Human and Physical Geography lessons across KS3 and KS4.
- Planning creative schemes of work that make global issues relevant to local students.
- Assessing student progress through regular marking and constructive feedback.
- Preparing exam groups (Year 11) for success with targeted revision and technique.
- Managing classroom behaviour effectively to maintain a productive learning environment.
- Collaborating with the Humanities department to share best practices and resources.
- Participating in school life, including staff meetings and potential fieldwork trips.
- Maintaining high safeguarding standards and ensuring a safe space for all learners.
What we need from you:
- QTS/ECT Status: A recognised teaching qualification.
- Subject Passion: A genuine drive to share your knowledge of the world.
- Adaptability: The ability to jump into different school environments and hit the ground running.
- Compliance: A valid Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply).
