Geography Teacher - Southport - September Start - £150 to £220/day
Several well-regarded secondary schools in Southport are looking to appoint enthusiastic and knowledgeable Geography Teachers to join their Humanities departments this September. These roles are ideal for educators with prior experience teaching Key Stage 3 and 4 students, who are passionate about delivering engaging, thought-provoking lessons that connect geographical concepts to real-world issues. The successful candidates will have a strong grasp of the national curriculum, the ability to differentiate effectively, and a commitment to inspiring a love for Geography in diverse classroom settings.
Key Duties:
- Deliver well-structured and stimulating Geography lessons across KS3 and KS4.
- Plan creative and differentiated lesson content.
- Mark and assess work in line with school policy and provide feedback.
- Maintain excellent behaviour for learning in the classroom.
- Liaise with colleagues, attend department meetings, and share best practice.
- Support whole-school events and contribute to enrichment activities.
- Use assessments to inform planning and track pupil progress.
Skills and Qualifications:
- UK QTS or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Experience teaching secondary Geography (PGCE students welcome).
- DBS on update service or willingness to obtain one.
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
- Passion for geographical education and enrichment.
- Knowledge of current curriculum requirements and assessments.
