Geography Teacher - Warrington - September Start - £150 to £220/day
A couple of well-regarded secondary schools in Warrington are seeking experienced and passionate Geography Teachers to join their Humanities departments this September. These roles are ideal for educators who have a strong background in teaching Key Stage 3 and 4 students, and who thrive on transforming real-world geographical issues into meaningful and engaging classroom experiences.
The successful candidates will have prior experience delivering the national curriculum, fostering enquiry-based learning, and supporting students in developing a deeper understanding of both physical and human geography.
Key Duties:
- Deliver well-structured and stimulating Geography lessons across KS3 and KS4.
- Plan creative and differentiated lesson content.
- Mark and assess work in line with school policy and provide feedback.
- Maintain excellent behaviour for learning in the classroom.
- Liaise with colleagues, attend department meetings, and share best practice.
- Support whole-school events and contribute to enrichment activities.
- Use assessments to inform planning and track pupil progress.
Skills and Qualifications:
- UK QTS or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Experience teaching secondary Geography (PGCE students welcome).
- DBS on update service or willingness to obtain one.
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
- Passion for geographical education and enrichment.
- Knowledge of current curriculum requirements and assessments.
