Your Responsibilities

• Curriculum Excellence: Plan and deliver high-quality physical and human Geography lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, fostering deep global awareness.
• GCSE Preparation: Guide Year 11 cohorts through their exam specifications, utilising data-driven interventions and sharp exam-technique coaching to maximise student outcomes.
• Enquiry-Based Learning: Drive critical thinking by teaching students how to analyse geographical data, interpret GIS maps, and evaluate complex environmental case studies.
• Inclusive Adaptive Teaching: Tailor resources to ensure the curriculum is accessible to lower-attaining pupils and students with SEN, while providing challenging extensions for high-flyers.
• Fieldwork & Practical Application: Support the department in developing students' practical geographical skills, including data collection and localised environmental analysis.
• Classroom & Marks Management: Maintain an organised, focused learning environment and keep up-to-date marking and student progress records in line with school policies.

What You'll Bring to the Team

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) / QTLS: Mandatory. A degree in Geography, Environmental Science, or a closely related discipline.
