About the Role
Randstad is currently seeking an experienced, versatile, and proactive Handyperson to cover commercial and residential projects across the Kent area. This is a brilliant opportunity for a multi-skilled tradesperson who enjoys a varied workload and can work independently to finish jobs to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
As a Handyperson, your duties will vary daily depending on the site's requirements, including but not limited to:
Painting & Decorating: Touching up paintwork, filling cracks, plaster patching, and preparing surfaces.
Basic Plumbing: Fixing minor leaks, unblocking sinks, and replacing basic fixtures and fittings.
Snagging & Finishing: Ensuring the final handover of units or buildings meets strict quality standards by fixing minor defects.
General Maintenance: Installing fixtures (blinds, shelves, signage), replacing ceiling tiles, and general site upkeep.
Candidate Requirements
To be successful in this role, you must meet the following criteria:
Valid CSCS Card (Essential)
Full Toolkit: Must own a comprehensive set of hand and power tools suitable for various multi-trade tasks.
Full PPE: Hard hat, high-vis vest/jacket, and steel toe cap boots.
References: Able to provide two checkable finishing/work references from recent handyperson.
Transport: A valid driving license and own transport is highly advantageous due to the travel across Kent.
