Role Overview
The school seeks an experienced and inspirational educational leader to serve as Head of Primary. This role involves overseeing all aspects of the Primary School, ensuring the highest standards of teaching, learning, student wellbeing, and staff development within the framework of the IB PYP.
Key Responsibilities
Provide strategic leadership and day-to-day management of the Primary School.
Ensure effective implementation and development of the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP).
Lead and support a team of educators, promoting collaboration, innovation, and reflective practice.
Foster a nurturing and inclusive learning environment that supports academic, social, and emotional growth.
Build strong partnerships with students, parents, and the wider school community.
Drive continuous improvement through data-informed decision-making, professional development, and curriculum review.
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Education (or relevant field); Master's degree or leadership qualification is desirable
At least 5 years of successful teaching experience, with recent experience in a leadership position in a primary or elementary school setting.
Deep understanding of the IB PYP and inquiry-based pedagogy.
Proven track record of effective school leadership, team building, and staff development.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
International school experience is highly desirable - applicants need to be culturally aware, showing flexibility and adaptability and have an interest in India itself.
