Are you a seasoned Health and Safety Manager with a proven track record working with UK tier 1 main contractors to deliver complex projects? We have an exciting new 12 month contract working on a New build Data Centre to lead the H&S team starting in the coming weeks.
This client is also happy to authorise LTD company method of payment.
Duties
Developing and implementing comprehensive health and safety management systems and procedures.
Leading and conducting site inspections and audits, identifying potential hazards, and ensuring effective preventative and corrective actions are implemented.
Managing and reviewing risk assessments and method statements across all project phases.
Overseeing and delivering health and safety inductions and training programs for all site personnel and contractors.
Investigating all incidents and accidents, producing detailed reports, identifying root causes, and implementing robust recommendations to prevent recurrence.
Fostering a strong, positive health and safety culture across the entire site, driving continuous improvement.
Acting as the primary liaison for health and safety with the client, subcontractors, and regulatory bodies, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
Managing and mentoring any junior health and safety team members, if applicable.
Requirements
- Strong client-facing qualities: Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills are essential for building strong relationships with our client and key stakeholders.
Extensive background with Tier 1/2 Main Contractors
In-depth, up-to-date knowledge of UK health and safety legislation and industry best practices.
Proven proficiency in developing, implementing, and managing health and safety management systems.
Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to risk management.
Relevant Health & Safety Qualifications: (e.g., NEBOSH Diploma, NCRQ Diploma, or equivalent).
