We are seeking an experienced High Voltage Electrical Engineer to join a leading industrial site in Shotton. This is a permanent opportunity offering long-term career prospects and excellent benefits. The role will focus on the maintenance, development, and compliance of high voltage electrical infrastructure within a demanding operational environment.
This position would suit a self-motivated engineer with strong technical skills, a proactive attitude, and a commitment to safety and continuous improvement.
Oversee the inspection, maintenance, and enhancement of high voltage (HV) electrical systems across the site.
Ensure compliance with all statutory and internal health & safety regulations.
Provide technical leadership and support for projects involving HV infrastructure.
Plan and coordinate routine and preventative maintenance activities.
Diagnose and resolve HV electrical faults efficiently to reduce downtime.
Collaborate with internal engineering teams and external contractors.
Identify opportunities for system improvements in reliability, performance, and safety.
Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical experience.
Proven experience in the maintenance and operation of high voltage electrical systems, ideally within a heavy industrial or manufacturing environment.
Strong understanding of health and safety legislation relating to HV systems.
Demonstrated ability in fault-finding, problem-solving, and risk management.
Capable of working independently and collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
