As an Electronics Hardware, Senior Design Engineer you will be expected to take responsibility for all technical activities of design to develop new or maintain current Offers. Represent the Company in the wider community.Identify and suggest ways of improving the discipline working practices and implement the changes.Have knowledge of and be able to interpret compliance standards.Perform research in areas defined by oneself or others.Maintain legacy products and providing quick solutions on issues found in such products.Have a good understanding of modern manufacturing techniques for volume production.Have an appreciation of full design lifecycles from cradle to grave.Desired Skills: A proven engineering background in Electronics product design (Best practice in circuit design, schematic entry, prototyping and circuit simulation, multilayer PCB layout techniques).Precision analogue design, op-amps, high resolution ADC etc.Digital design, FLASH memory, microprocessor specification and integration etc.Designing and testing for EMC.Experience in high speed serial communications e.g. Ethernet.Experience of identification and resolution of product design issues.Have extensive knowledge of specific areas of the product development or technology and actively assist other engineers in areas of expertise.Have an awareness of market, application and customer needs and should offer creative and innovative input regarding new products, services or features and application of new technologies.Have detailed knowledge of, and the ability to implement using complex techniques Interpretation of compliance standards e.g. EMC; Safety.Extensive experience in a new product development environment, with a proven track record of successful delivery to customers.Power supply design switch mode and linear.Working within an ISO9000 approved process or similar.Working in multi-disciplined design teams in some cases split across countries.Lead small teams of hardware engineers developing products.Design for manufacture and testability.High speed digital design, use of Programmable logic and full gate simulation.Use of quality processes and tools (e.g. DFMEA/FTA).Experience of New Product Introduction into local or remote manufacturing facilities.Design and specification of Human Machine Interfaces.Appropriate reuse of existing designs.If you would like to know more, click apply TODAY!
