We are absolutely thrilled to announce that we are looking for a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) who is just as passionate about student success as we are to join our local secondary schools in and across Liverpool.
Role type: Full/ Part time and long term or day to day supply roles available.
Requirements:
- HLTA Status or a Level 4 Teaching Assistant qualification with a proven track record of supporting students.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage classroom behaviour independently and calmly.
- An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to get one- we can help with this).
Key Duties:
- Lead and deliver pre-planned lessons to whole classes independently.
- Manage classroom behaviour effectively to ensure a productive learning environment.
- Run small-group interventions to help students catch up in core subjects.
- Support GCSE students with targeted exam preparation and revision techniques.
- Adapt lesson materials to meet the specific needs of students.
- Provide detailed feedback to teachers on student progress and engagement.
- Supervise and mentor other Teaching Assistants within the department.
- Assist with exam arrangements, acting as a scribe or reader for students.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance and achievement during cover.
