- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Degree in History or a related subject
- Proven classroom experience teaching History at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (Key Stage 5 desirable)
- Excellent knowledge of the national curriculum
- A genuine passion for teaching and learning
- Strong behaviour management skills
- A commitment to inclusive education and safeguarding
Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver high-quality History lessons in line with the national curriculum
- Teach across Key Stages 3 and 4 (Key Stage 5 desirable)
- Use a variety of teaching methods to engage and inspire all learners
- Set clear learning objectives and monitor student progress
- Assess student work regularly, providing constructive feedback
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment
