An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and enthusiastic Teacher of History to join a thriving and successful secondary school in the Redhill area. Judged 'outstanding' by Ofsted, our school provides a supportive and vibrant learning environment where students are encouraged to achieve their full potential.
This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate historian to join a dynamic and well-resourced department. The successful candidate will have the ability to teach History across Key Stages 3, 4 and potentially 5. You will be responsible for delivering engaging and thought-provoking lessons that ignite a curiosity for the past and develop critical thinking skills.
Our History Curriculum:
At Key Stage 3, our students explore a broad chronological sweep of British and world history. At GCSE, we follow the Edexcel specification, covering topics such as Medicine in Britain, Weimar and Nazi Germany, and the Cold War. Our A-Level students currently study the AQA specification, delving into modern American history and the English Revolution. A commitment to enriching our students' learning is at the heart of our department, with a range of trips and extracurricular activities offered.
The ideal candidate will:
- Possess Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Have a genuine passion for History and the ability to convey this to students of all abilities.

- Be a collaborative team player, willing to contribute to the wider life of the school.
- Be supportive of the school's Christian ethos and its core values of belonging, education, determination, excellence, and service.
Applications are welcomed from both Early Career Teachers (ECTs), for whom a comprehensive induction programme is in place, and more experienced practitioners.
