Location: Liverpool

Position Type: Full-Time | Long-Term

Are you a passionate and experienced SEN support professional looking to make a meaningful impact in children's lives?

Randstad Education is currently seeking a dedicated High-Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a supportive school in Wirral, working with students who have complex and additional learning needs.

Key Responsibilities

Provide 1:1 and group support for pupils with complex needs, including PMLD, ASC, MSI, and sensory impairments.
Assist in planning and delivering differentiated learning activities under the direction of the class teacher.
Support behaviour management strategies and encourage positive interactions.
Provide personal care and mobility support as needed.
Maintain accurate student records and communicate effectively with parents and professionals.
Foster positive relationships with students, staff, and families.

Requirements

Enhanced DBS check (child and adult) - must be current or willing to apply for one.
Minimum of 1 year of experience working in UK schools.
Experience supporting children with complex needs and/or challenging behaviour.
Level 3 Teaching Assistant Diploma - essential.
HLTA qualification or willingness to work towards it - preferred.
Ability to work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team.
Familiarity with non-verbal communication strategies and assistive technologies.
Experience in moving and handling students with physical needs across varied settings (e.g. classroom, pool, gym, residential units).
