About the Role
As an SEN ICT Teacher, you will be responsible for planning, delivering, and assessing engaging and differentiated ICT lessons for students with a range of special educational needs. You will play a pivotal role in creating a positive and stimulating learning environment, adapting your teaching strategies to meet the unique requirements of each student, and celebrating their progress and achievements in the digital world. This will involve teaching a broad ICT curriculum, from foundational digital literacy to more advanced computing concepts, tailored to individual student needs.
We are looking for someone who:
Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in an ICT or Computing-related subject.
Has proven experience teaching ICT across a range of key stages.
Possesses a strong understanding of various special educational needs and effective strategies for supporting students with SEND.
Is skilled in differentiating curriculum and assessment to meet individual learning styles and needs, particularly in a technology-rich environment.
Is patient, empathetic, resilient, and has a genuine desire to empower students to reach their full potential.
Can work collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary team, including therapists, support staff, and parents.
Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
