Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced individual to join our Initial Response Team based in Newcastle. This role involves providing prompt, professional, and effective responses to emergency and crisis situations. The successful candidate will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to assess situations, manage risk, and deliver appropriate interventions.
Key Responsibilities:
Respond to urgent and crisis calls in a timely manner
Assess the mental health and physical wellbeing of individuals in distress
Develop and implement immediate support plans
Collaborate with healthcare professionals, emergency services, and social care teams
Maintain accurate and confidential records
Provide follow-up and referrals to appropriate ongoing services
Requirements:
Relevant qualification in nursing, social work, or mental health
Experience in crisis response or emergency care
Strong communication and decision-making skills
Ability to work in high-pressure environments
Flexible availability, including nights and weekends
