The Role: IT, Computing, and Business Studies Teacher
This is a full-time position based in Leeds, requiring a dedicated teacher to commence work as soon as possible (ASAP). The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching across Key Stages 3 and 4, covering the curriculum in IT, Computing, and Business Studies. This role requires versatility, a commitment to academic excellence, and a passion for developing students' essential skills for the digital economy.

Requirements:
... - Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.

Key Skills & Expertise:
- Curriculum Design: Proven ability to plan and sequence engaging schemes of work for Computing, IT, and Business Studies.
- Coding Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of programming languages relevant to the curriculum.
- Data Analysis: Skill in teaching students how to interpret, manipulate, and present data effectively.
- Assessment Strategies: Ability to use diagnostic and formative assessment to inform teaching and track pupil progress accurately.
- Differentiated Teaching: Skill in adapting lessons to meet the needs of all learners, including SEND and high-achieving students.
- Safeguarding Knowledge: A strong understanding and commitment to child protection and online safety procedures.
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver Engaging Lessons: Plan and teach stimulating lessons in IT, Computing, and Business Studies across Key Stages 3-4.
- Monitor Progress: Regularly assess, record, and report on the development, progress, and attainment of students.
- Promote E-Safety: Actively ensure and promote the safe and responsible use of IT and the internet among students.
- Resource Development: Create high-quality teaching resources that align with curriculum objectives and departmental goals.
- Maintain Discipline: Uphold the school's behaviour policy to maintain a positive and disciplined classroom environment.
- Undertake Pastoral Duties: Act as a Form Tutor, where required, taking responsibility for the welfare and guidance of a group of students.
- Contribute to Extra-Curricular: Participate in and lead extra-curricular activities related to the subjects, such as coding clubs or enterprise challenges.
- Collaborate Professionally: Work effectively with department colleagues, sharing best practice and contributing to strategic planning.
- Liaise with Parents: Communicate effectively with parents/carers regarding student progress, achievement, and behaviour.
- Adhere to Policy: Ensure full compliance with all school policies, especially those concerning safeguarding and health and safety.
