Our school in Blackpool is looking for KS2 Teacher to teach English, Maths and Humanities to our Foundation Set pupils in Y7 and Y8. Typically, children in the Foundation Set have levels of reading, literacy and numeracy at primary age and require scaffolded and adapted teaching. With an emphasis on strong quality first teaching, and supported by highly trained specialist assistants, we are keen for our pupils in the Foundation Set to enjoy a rich curriculum and progress rapidly.
JOB SUMMARY:
- Plan, design and produce teaching materials and resources which are appropriate to stage and ability.
- Plan, deliver and review lessons which are appropriate to the stage and ability of the pupils so as to facilitate progression in pupils' learning.
- Assess, record and report on the development, progress and attainment of the pupils assigned.
- Manage the classroom and teaching equipment so to create a positive learning environment which makes effective use of available resources.
- Attend meetings, carry out administrative tasks and duties as required.
Key Responsibilites :
- Strategic Direction and Development of the School 1.1 Provide inspiring and purposeful leadership for the pupils within a caring and secure environment.
- Work in partnership with the Principal, Senior Leadership Team, Governing Body, Trust, staff, pupils and parents in generating the ethos and values which underpin the school, enriched by mutual care and respect extending into the local community.
- Work within the overall aims and objectives of the school.
- Promote and deliver the priorities and policies of the school by contributing to School Improvement and Development Planning, by consistently and persistently implementing agreed policies and initiatives and adhering to the school's ethos within and beyond the school.
- Liaise as required with a range of educational partners to underpin the raising of pupil attainment.
- Support the school's home and community liaison work through the appropriate participation in events.

Requirements :
- An enhanced child DBS on the update service (or willingness to get one)
- A degree-level qualification and Qualified Teacher Status.
- Track record of delivering excellent teaching.
- A knowledge of what constitutes outstanding practice.
- A good understanding of statutory requirements at Key Stage 2 and 3.
