The Role: Key Stage 2 Teacher (Years 3-6)
We are seeking an outstanding, passionate Key Stage 2 Teacher to manage a class within Years 3 to 6. This role is central to preparing pupils for the next stage of their education. You will be responsible for planning and delivering a rich, knowledge-based curriculum, raising attainment across core subjects, and fostering pupils' critical thinking and self-management skills. Your expertise will be key in maintaining our high standards and inspiring pupils to reach their full potential.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver creative, challenging lessons across the full Key Stage 2 curriculum, ensuring high levels of pupil engagement.
- Lead on assessment for learning (AfL), using continuous feedback and data analysis to accelerate pupil progress in English and Maths.
- Create and maintain an organised, focused, and positive classroom environment conducive to upper primary learning.
- Effectively manage pupil behaviour using consistent, positive strategies to foster a culture of respect and high expectations.
- Provide targeted intervention and support for pupils requiring additional help, including those working below age-related expectations.
- Collaborate effectively with year group partners, the leadership team, and specialists to ensure curriculum coherence.
- Develop pupils' critical thinking, problem-solving, and independent study skills in preparation for secondary education.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with parents/carers regarding curriculum content and individual pupil progress.
What We're Looking For:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and demonstrable success in teaching a Key Stage 2 class.
- Strong subject knowledge across the KS2 curriculum, particularly in Maths and English (including preparation for statutory assessments).
- A practitioner who is highly reflective, organised, and committed to achieving the best outcomes for every child.
- Proven ability to build positive relationships with older primary pupils, inspiring them to take ownership of their learning.
- Excellent classroom management skills that promote a productive and calm learning atmosphere.
- A team player who is proactive, flexible, and willing to share best practice.
