We are currently partnering with an established portfolio of excellent primary schools, infant schools, and academies throughout Cambridge and the surrounding areas. We are experiencing a high demand for nurturing, passionate educators who excel at delivering the KS1 curriculum, guiding pupils through their early transition into structured learning, and building foundational academic skills.
Whether you are an experienced lower-primary specialist looking to step away from the administrative pressures of full-time classroom leadership, or an Early Career Teacher (ECT) eager to build confidence across Reception, Year 1, and Year 2, we can help you find your perfect balance.
Choose Your Ideal Way of Working:
Day-to-Day Cover: Take complete control of your schedule. Choose exactly which days you want to work to perfectly fit around your personal commitments, studies, or lifestyle. It is a fantastic way to experience different school settings.
Long-Term Opportunities: If you prefer stability, we have fixed-term KS1 roles spanning a term or a full academic year (covering maternity, sickness, or interim gaps). This is the perfect way to truly embed yourself within a local school team, lead a specific young year group, and see your students grow.
What We Look For:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a recognised equivalent qualification.
Strong working knowledge of the Key Stage 1 National Curriculum (experience with the Phonics Screening Check and early reading frameworks is highly advantageous).
Confident classroom management skills combined with a patient, nurturing approach to keep young learners engaged and motivated.
An adaptable, proactive demeanour, ready to hit the ground running in vibrant school environments.
A valid Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or a willingness to complete one).
Benefits of Working With Us:
Competitive rates of pay, processed weekly and reflective of your experience level.
A dedicated local consultant with deep knowledge of the Cambridge and wider Cambridgeshire primary education sectors.
A completely transparent service that works strictly around your personal availability.
The chance to explore different local schools, which frequently opens doors to permanent positions if that is your ultimate goal.
