Job Title: General Construction Labourer
Location: Copthorne Crawley West Sussex (RH10 / RH11) -
Start Date: Friday, 9th October 2026
Contract Duration: 1 Week Cover
Working Hours: 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM (Monday to Friday)
Pay Rate: £14.00 - £15.50 per hour (dependent on pay type)
About the Role
We are recruiting a reliable, hard-working General Labourer for a short-term cover role on an active construction site in Crawley, starting this Friday, 9th October 2026.
This is a 1-week contract, making it ideal for someone looking for immediate short-term work to fill a gap or earn extra hours heading into the weekend and next week.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting site trades with general manual handling and daily operational tasks.
- Unloading delivery vehicles and moving construction materials across site safely.
- Sweeping, clearing rubbish, and keeping access routes and stairwells clear.
- Assisting with skip loading and general site maintenance.
- Following site health and safety guidelines and wearing full PPE at all times.
Requirements
- Valid CSCS Card (Green Labourer card or above essential).
- Full PPE (Steel toe-cap boots, high-vis jacket/vest, hard hat, and safety gloves).
- Previous general site labouring experience.
- Hard-working, punctual, and reliable with a solid work ethic.
- Available to commit to the full 1-week duration starting Friday, 9th October.
- Right to work in the UK.
Working Hours & Benefits
- Hours: 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM (40-45 paid hours for the week).
- Start Date: Friday, 9th October 2026.
- Duration: 1 week cover.
- Fast, weekly pay via CIS, Umbrella, or PAYE options.
