Job Title: General Construction Labourer
Location: Rochester, Kent (ME1 / ME2)
Start Date: Immediate / Upcoming
Contract Duration: Ongoing / Long-Term
Pay Rate: £13.50 - £15.00 per hour (dependent on pay type and experience)
About the Role
We are looking for a reliable, hard-working General Labourer for an ongoing, long-term position on a major construction project in Rochester.
This is an excellent opportunity to secure steady, full-time work with consistent hours alongside an established main contractor.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting site trades (bricklayers, carpenters, groundworkers) with daily tasks and material handling.
- Offloading delivery vehicles and moving materials across site levels efficiently.
- Maintaining clean, safe, and hazard-free access routes, walkways, and work areas.
- Sorting construction waste, clearing debris, and managing site recycling skips.
- Following site health & safety procedures and wearing full PPE at all times.
Requirements
- Valid CSCS Card (Green Labourer card or above essential).
- Full PPE (Steel toe-cap boots, high-vis vest/jacket, hard hat, and gloves).
- Previous experience working on commercial or residential construction sites.
- Strong work ethic, punctual attendance, and good communication skills.
- Physically fit and capable of manual handling.
- Right to work in the UK.
Working Hours & Benefits
- Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM (40-45 hours per week).
- Duration: Ongoing long-term work.
- Weekly pay via CIS, Umbrella, or PAYE.
