About the Role:
- Work directly with looked after children and young people, providing high-quality support and advocacy.
- Develop and implement person-centered care plans, ensuring their needs are met and their voices are heard.
- Build strong relationships with young people, their families, and other professionals involved in their care.
- Manage a caseload effectively, prioritizing urgent needs and adhering to statutory timescales.
- Contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of services for looked after children.
- Participate in regular supervision and contribute to a positive and supportive team environment.
Requirements:
- Registered with Social Care England.
- Minimum 3 years' post-qualification experience as a qualified Social Worker. Experience working with looked after children is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication, assessment, and case management skills.
- Strong understanding of relevant legislation and policies relating to children in care.
- Ability to build rapport and trust with young people and their families.
- Commitment to person-centered practice and ethical standards.
