Are you passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of children with Special Educational Needs? We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Mentor to join our dynamic team at our SEN Unit in Exeter for a full time and long term role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and group support to students aged 4-16 with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
- Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
- Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to develop tailored strategies for student success.
- Implement behaviour management techniques to promote a positive and safe atmosphere.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Previous experience working with children with SEMH needs is ideal but not essential.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Understanding of various learning styles and abilities.
- Any kind of support work, childcare or SEN experience is welcomed.
Working Hours:
Enjoy a fulfilling work-life balance with regular working hours from Monday to Thursday, 8:30 am to 3:00 pm, and on Fridays from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm. Experience our unique 'Wellbeing Fridays' every 6 weeks, allowing you to finish at 1:00 pm and prioritise your own mental health and relaxation.
Competitive Pay:
As a valued member of our team, you'll receive a highly competitive daily rate of £90. Recognising the importance of your role, we ensure that your dedication and hard work are appropriately rewarded.
