Learning Support Assistant - Southport
We are seeking a caring and motivated Learning Support Assistant to support students in secondary schools in and around Southport. This is a unique opportunity to provide one-to-one and small group support, making a tangible difference to student's daily school lives.
Overview of the Role: You'll work directly in the classroom, offering focused support to students who need it most. You will assist with their academic work, build their confidence, and help them integrate successfully into school life. Your positive influence will be a huge asset to the school and its students.

Pay: £150 to £220 per day, based on experience.

Duties:
- Providing in-class support by working directly with students, either one-on-one or in small groups.
- Assisting with learning materials, such as adapting worksheets or creating visual aids to meet student needs.
- Supporting student well-being by acting as a mentor, offering emotional support, and building confidence.
- Helping to manage student behaviour and maintain a positive classroom environment.
- Communicating and reporting on student progress to teachers, the Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO), and other staff.
- Supervising students during break times, lunch, or on school trips.
- Implementing a student's individual support plan, such as an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP), to ensure they receive the specific support they need.

Skills and Qualifications:
- A genuine interest in helping children learn.
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service is preferred.
- Eligible to Work in the UK (ETW).
