This crucial role involves working closely with classroom teachers to ensure all pupils have the support, guidance, and encouragement they need to thrive in a specialist setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one and small group support to children with a range of special educational needs.
- Assist with the implementation of tailored learning plans and strategies.
- Foster a supportive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
- Help students build confidence, independence, and social skills.
- Work closely with class teachers, SENCOs, and other professionals to monitor and track student progress.
What We're Looking For:
- A genuine passion for supporting children with special educational needs.
- Strong communication skills, patience, and empathy.
- Ability to adapt to the diverse needs of students and contribute to a positive school atmosphere.
- Prior experience in a similar role or a relevant qualification (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant certification or equivalent) is an advantage, but not essential.
