Requirements:
- Must have a minimum 6 months UK work experience as a LSA or SEN TA.
- Experience in supporting individuals with PMLS, SLD, learning disabilities, sensory impairments, or autism.
- Valid Team Teach certificate is preferred or experience in behaviour management
- The ability to approach challenging situations with empathy, compassion, and a high level of self-awareness.
- Right to work in the UK and a valid enhanced children and adults DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
Responsibilities:
- Provide one-to-one support to young adults (aged 19-25), helping them engage in a varied curriculum from classroom lessons to swimming and outdoor activities.
- Working alongside teachers, adapt learning resources to meet the unique needs of each student.
- Empowering students to develop their communication and life skills, using positive behaviour strategies to create a safe learning environment.
- Providing holistic support, which may involve personal care and assistance with mobility aids, always ensuring the student's dignity is maintained.
