Randstad Education is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join one of our vibrant and inclusive primary/secondary schools in Southend. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to contribute to the academic and emotional development of students who may require additional support in their learning journey.

Role & Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 and small group support for children with a range of SEN, including autism, ADHD, speech and language needs, and social/emotional challenges.
- Help implement individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour support strategies.
- Promote pupil engagement, confidence, and independence in learning.
- Support class teachers in delivering inclusive education across the curriculum.
- Assist with personal care or physical needs if required.
- Communicate regularly with teachers, SENCOs, and parents/carers about pupil progress.
- Foster a safe, calm, and positive learning environment for all.

Requirements:
- An up to date enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check or the willingness to obtain one.
- Eligibility to work in the UK is essential.
- Previous experience supporting children with SEN (in school or other settings).
- A calm, nurturing, and patient approach.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
- Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification (preferred but not essential).
