Roles and Responsibilities:
- Empowering Support: Provide personalised assistance to students with SEN, including ASD, ADHD, and SEND, to help them thrive academically and personally.
- Inspiring Mentorship: Serve as a mentor and role model, nurturing students' confidence, resilience, and independence.
- Innovative Teaching: Design and deliver engaging learning activities tailored to meet the diverse needs of SEN students, making learning fun and accessible.
- Goal-Oriented Guidance: Collaborate with teachers and support staff to implement strategies that support students in achieving their individual goals.
- Dedication: Demonstrate unwavering commitment and flexibility, going above and beyond to ensure every student receives the support they need to succeed.
Requirements:
- Passion for Education: Bring a genuine enthusiasm for working with children and a desire to make a positive difference in their lives.
- Qualifications: Hold an NVQ2/NVQ3 qualification or equivalent, with a focus on supporting students with SEN.
- Experience: Previous experience as a teaching/learning assistant or classroom assistant, particularly in SEN settings, is preferred.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and external stakeholders.
- Adaptability: Be flexible and resourceful, able to adapt teaching methods to suit the individual needs of each student.
