We are seeking a highly organized and disciplined Logistics Manager to join a high-security construction project. This role is critical in managing the information flow and physical movement of materials between military personnel and site management teams. You will act as the central hub for all delivery logistics, ensuring the site remains operational, secure, and compliant with strict military standards.
The Role
As the Logistics Manager, you will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery process. Your day-to-day will involve:
Communication Hub: Receiving delivery information from the M-Site and transferring it to the MSC Gate Man, Site Managers, and the Military Guard House.
Inspection Coordination: Notifying Military Inspectors when deliveries are ready for review and meeting them at the inspection compound for sign-offs.
Site Readiness: Confirming planned deliveries with Site Managers to ensure the site is prepared for arrival.
Escort Management: Working with Gate Staff to allocate escorts and ensuring materials are moved safely to the site.
Compliance & Records: Maintaining detailed logs of delivery drivers, vehicle details, and travel distances.
Site Protection: Monitoring delivery routes to ensure no damage is caused to the site infrastructure during the process.
Candidate Requirements
The ideal candidate must be adaptable and comfortable working in a high-pressure, regulated environment.
Experience: Proven construction experience, ideally having worked on MOD or high-security projects previously.
Qualifications: A valid CSCS card is mandatory. SMSTS or SSSTS qualifications are highly advantageous.
Technical Skills: IT literate with proven experience using Excel and web-based management systems.
Soft Skills: Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to work independently while managing client relationships.
Flexibility: Must be prepared to work flexible hours (including adjusted break times) to suit the delivery schedule.
