Shift Pattern: Double Day Shift (Mon-Fri) Early: 06:00 - 14:00, Late: 13:45 - 22:00, Pay: Basic Rate + 22.5% Shift Uplift
The Opportunity
Join a world-leading engineering firm dedicated to life-saving technology. As a Logistics Operative within our Tool Stores team, you will play a vital role in supporting manufacturing and sub-contractors. You will ensure that tooling, fixturing, gauges, and consumables are managed with the highest level of efficiency to keep our production lines moving.
What You'll Be Doing
You will undertake a multi-skilled role within the Stores department, with duties including:
- Inventory Management: Daily replenishment of Kanban locations and checking stock levels for accuracy.
- Technical Support: Serving team members and sub-contractors with tooling and fixturing requests, ensuring all transfers are logged accurately.
- Logistics: Receiving deliveries from Goods In, putting away stock, and boxing up weekly tooling requests for dispatch to satellite sites.
- Maintenance & Compliance: Carrying out monthly gauge calibrations and handling carbide re-grind tooling.
- Collaboration: Working alongside industry experts to gain a deep understanding of the engineering business.
Characteristics & Skills
- Experience: A background in stores or packing within a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
- IT Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office (specifically Word and Excel).
- Safety Conscious: A solid understanding of Health & Safety policies and procedures.
- Resilience: The ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities to meet deadlines.
