The Opportunity

Upper Key Stage 2 is a crucial stage where students build the independence and stamina needed for their final year of primary school. This role is perfect for a teacher who thrives on delivering creative, high-impact lessons while fostering a supportive classroom culture.
Key Responsibilities
Engaging Delivery: Plan and teach the Year 5 curriculum, with a strong focus on deepening comprehension in Literacy and fluency in Numeracy.
Academic Scaffolding: Differentiate tasks to challenge high-achievers while providing vital support for students with SEN or EAL requirements.
Classroom Harmony: Implement consistent behavior management strategies to maintain a focused and positive learning environment.
Formative Assessment: Regularly track pupil progress and use data to bridge learning gaps through targeted interventions.
Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): Essential. We welcome applications from both experienced practitioners and ECTs.
UKS2 Expertise: Strong knowledge of the Year 5/6 curriculum and experience preparing students for the transition to Year 6.
Collaboration: A team player who works effectively with TAs and the wider school community.
Safeguarding: A thorough understanding of child protection protocols and KCSiE guidelines.
