Randstad Education is looking for a compassionate, enthusiastic, and committed Learning Support Assistant to become part of a friendly and supportive school in Benfleet. This role offers you the chance to encourage, empower, and assist children who require additional support to reach their full potential.
You'll work alongside passionate educators in a caring school community, supporting pupils who may have special educational needs, emotional difficulties, or simply need a bit of extra guidance. Every day, your presence will help turn challenges into achievements.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 and small group support for children with a range of SEN, including autism, ADHD, speech and language needs, and social/emotional challenges.
- Help implement individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour support strategies.
- Promote pupil engagement, confidence, and independence in learning.
- Support class teachers in delivering inclusive education across the curriculum.
- Assist with personal care or physical needs if required.
- Communicate regularly with teachers, SENCOs, and parents/carers about pupil progress.
- Foster a safe, calm, and positive learning environment for all.

Requirements:
- An up to date enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check or the willingness to obtain one.
- Eligibility to work in the UK is essential.
- Previous experience supporting children with SEN (in school or other settings).
- A calm, nurturing, and patient approach.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
- Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification (preferred but not essential).
