The Shift: Sunday - Thursday | 22:00 - 06:00
The Package: £53,000
Are you a night owl who thrives when the production line is humming? We are a leading national manufacturer with a major footprint in Peterborough, and we're looking for a heavy-hitting Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to anchor our night shift.
This isn't a "sit and wait for a breakdown" role. You'll be the technical lead on-site during our critical production hours, ensuring our facility stays at peak performance while the rest of the world sleeps.
The Role
You'll be responsible for the planned and reactive maintenance of high-speed manufacturing machinery. We need someone who is truly "multi-skilled"-meaning you're as comfortable turning a wrench on a gearbox as you are navigating a control panel.
Key Responsibilities:
PLC Fault Finding: You must be able to plug in, diagnose, and rectify faults within PLC software to minimize downtime.
Reactive Maintenance: Rapid response to mechanical and electrical failures.
PPMs: Executing the planned maintenance schedule to keep our long-term reliability high.
Continuous Improvement: Identifying "bad actors" on the line and suggesting modifications to prevent repeat issues.
What We're Looking For
We aren't looking for "part-timers"-we need a dedicated professional who takes pride in their technical craft.
Multi-Skilled Background: Level 3 qualified (NVQ/City & Guilds) in either Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
PLC Competency: Proven experience fault-finding on PLC systems (e.g., Siemens, Allen Bradley, or Mitsubishi).
Night Shift Experience: You understand the rhythm of night work and prefer the Sunday-Thursday lifestyle.
Diagnostic Mindset: You don't just fix the symptom; you find the root cause.
Why Join Us?
Stability: We are a national manufacturer with consistent growth and investment in our Market Deeping site.
Work-Life Balance: Enjoy your Friday and Saturday nights off every single week.
Development: Access to internal training and opportunities to work on large-scale CAPEX projects.
