Salary: £51k per annum + Overtime & On-Call Allowances
The Role
As the Mechanical Supervisor, you will lead a dedicated team of technicians to maintain the commercial infrastructure. This is a "hands-on" leadership role where you will balance technical expertise with team management, ensuring all building services are compliant and resilient.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: Oversee and coordinate a team of mechanical tradespeople, managing daily workloads and performance.
- Critical Infrastructure: Participate in the Generator Testing program (conducted the last full week of every month, 6:00 AM - 8:00 AM). This is paid as overtime and is followed by your standard daily shift.
- On-Call Rota: Be part of a 1-in-4 emergency on-call rotation to ensure 24/7 site safety.
- Building Services: Manage a wide range of mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and steam plant within a hospital setting.
What You'll Need to Succeed
- You must be a fully qualified Mechanical Tradesperson (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
- Proven experience in Building Services and a track record of leading or overseeing a technical team.
- You must be able to pass a Standard DBS check.
- Commitment to early starts for monthly testing and the flexibility required for the on-call rota.
