The Opportunity
Work location: Desford
Duration: 12-month initial contract (high potential for extension)
Working Pattern: Full-time, 5 days per week (37.5 hours)
Pay range: £14 - £18/hour

Key Responsibilities
Supplier Management: Collaborate closely with a dedicated portfolio of suppliers to coordinate delivery schedules, resolve material availability issues, and manage engineering changes.
Inventory & Production Planning: Convert production requirements into piece part demands, regulate inventory levels, issue work orders, and maintain accuracy in planning systems.
Performance Improvement: Apply root cause analysis to resolve supplier performance and quality issues, and implement corrective actions to improve point-of-use material availability.
Metrics & Analysis: Monitor and track key supplier performance metrics to drive overall supply chain efficiency.
Essential Skills
Experience: Minimum of 2 years experience in Material Control, Production Planning, Supply Chain, or Logistics roles.
System Proficiency: High competency in Excel is a must, including advanced functions (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, XLOOKUPs).
Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills, strong organizational ability, and the confidence to communicate and challenge suppliers effectively.
Flexibility: A proactive and flexible approach, open to new ideas and continuous learning.
Desirable Background
A degree or equivalent experience in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Industrial Engineering.
General knowledge of production scheduling and capacity management.
Experience in transport coordination, freight management, or working with fast-moving goods in a manufacturing environment.
Familiarity with standard MRP systems and supply chain software.
