Maths Teacher - Southport - September Roles - £150-£220/day
We're on the lookout for inspiring Maths Teachers who can spark curiosity and help students grow in confidence at our schools in Southport. If you're passionate about numbers and love seeing students achieve, this is your chance to make a real impact in the classroom this September.
Whether you're an experienced teacher or an ECT, you'll be supported by friendly departments and strong leadership teams.
Duties:
- Deliver high-quality lessons in Maths across Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS5 advantageous but not essential).
- Plan, prepare, and assess student's work in line with the national curriculum.
- Use a range of teaching strategies to engage all learners and cater to diverse abilities.
- Support students in developing critical thinking, problem-solving, and numeracy skills.
- Maintain a well-managed, inclusive, and positive classroom environment.
- Contribute to departmental planning, curriculum development, and interventions.
- Participate in school meetings, CPD sessions, and parents' evenings where required.
- Monitor and report on student progress regularly, identifying areas for improvement.
Must-Haves:
- UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent overseas teaching qualification.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one prior to start).
- Recent experience teaching Maths in UK secondary schools.
- Strong subject knowledge and up-to-date with curriculum changes.
- Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
