Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging, well-structured Mathematics lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, fostering problem-solving skills, numerical confidence, and exam readiness.
- Create a positive, safe, and productive classroom environment using effective behaviour management strategies in line with school policies.
- Differentiate learning resources and delivery to support students with diverse learning abilities, including those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) or high prior attainment.
- Leave clear, professional handover notes for regular class teachers when fulfilling day-to-day cover assignments.
- For long-term roles: take full responsibility for planning, preparing, marking, assessing student progress against GCSE specifications, attending department meetings, and participating in parents' evenings as required.
What We Look For:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or QTLS (or recognised UK teaching qualification).
- Specialist subject knowledge in Mathematics across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (KS5 is a bonus).
- Strong classroom management skills and the confidence to step into dynamic secondary environments.
- An adaptable, punctual, and professional approach with excellent communication skills.
- A valid Enhanced DBS check registered on the Update Service (or a willingness to complete one).
