We are seeking a dedicated Maths Teacher (QTS) for a full-time, temporary position in the Feltwell area. This role is situated in a supportive secondary academy that values research-informed teaching and high academic aspirations. Your Responsibilities
- Academic Delivery: Plan and deliver high-quality Maths lessons across KS3 and KS4, ensuring students grasp foundational concepts and advanced algebraic/geometric theories.
- Exam Preparation: Lead Year 11 cohorts through critical GCSE specifications, utilizing data-driven interventions to close attainment gaps and boost confidence.
- Engagement & Literacy: Develop students' mathematical vocabulary and problem-solving skills, making the subject relevant through real-world applications.
- Classroom Authority: Maintain a focused, high-expectations learning environment where students feel supported to take risks and learn from mistakes.
- Collaborative Planning: Work with a close-knit department to share resources, moderate assessments, and contribute to the wider STEM curriculum.
What You'll Bring to the Team
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) / QTLS: Mandatory. A degree in Mathematics or a related highly-numerous discipline (Engineering, Physics, etc.).
- Pedagogical Skill: The ability to differentiate complex topics for a range of abilities, from those needing scaffolding to high-attaining "stretch" students.
- Location & Access: You must be a driver based in King's Lynn, Mildenhall, or Thetford, as the school's location is best accessed by car.
- Resilience: A proactive approach to classroom management and a commitment to the academy's inclusive ethos.
- Compliance: An enhanced Child DBS on the Update Service (or a willingness to process a new one via Randstad).
